WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT IF YOU HIRE STAGE 2 STAY?
Initial In-Home Consultation: For the initial in- home consultation, Kathryn will discuss your needs and wants and learn more about your budget and goals for the space. She may measure the room for a floor plan, take “Before” photos, and take inventory of other useful items in the home that can be repurposed. Kathryn will want to look at your whole home to get the big picture of your style and possibilities. After the scope of work is determined, you will receive an estimate on how long Stage 1 should take.
This initial in-home consultation typically takes between 1-2 hours and is a flat rate of $100, payable at the time of the consultation.
Stage 1: This follow up consultation is all about the (Re)Design; this is when the fun really starts! Kathryn will discuss ideas and options, and with your input get to work. This may include rearranging your furnishings and accessories or, in some cases, it may be a detailed plan that you receive with your suggestions and personalized plan clearly outlined. Your possessions will be edited and utilized to reflect your unique style by appropriately incorporating them into your overall design plan.
Kathryn may bring in a limited selection of items to “fill in” if there are gaps in what you have to work with. You are under no obligation to keep anything brought in, and you will pay only what the items cost (you will see the receipts and there is no markup). At the end of the Stage 1 (Re)Design, Kathryn will take Stage 1 “After” pictures. At this time you may decide your (Re)Design is complete or move on to Stage 2.
Kathryn works on an hourly fee basis, $100 per hour payable at the time of each consultation.
Stage 2: This consultation takes us to the Design phase. There may be some items that you decide really need to be replaced. Whatever your budget, Kathryn can guide you to the right choices and keep you from making costly mistakes.
This can work several ways. Through personal shopping Kathryn can pre-select items from which you may choose, or Kathryn can accompany you on shopping trips. Alternately, you can do the shopping using specific guidelines Kathryn will provide. At this point you may choose to set up another consultation to discuss your pre-selections with Kathryn. If you just need a bit of advice (maximum of 5 total), you may take advantage of Free Virtual Shopping: e-mail pictures (digital cameras are great for this) or fax your pre-selections to Kathryn and she will advise at no charge.
Kathryn works on an hourly fee basis, $100 per hour payable at the time of each consultation. Any follow-up work (i.e. floor plans, renderings, personal shopping) will be billed separately and is payable upon receipt. At the end of Stage 2 Kathryn will take the Stage 2 “After” photos; there is no charge for this follow-up appointment.
